The Birth, Death and Marriage registry has not increased its fees for certificates obtained from them. If applying for a certificate for family history research, without the registration number provided, will cost $45 or $70 if priority, while if you have the registration number the cost will be $32 or $57 priority. Family history research certificates are only available on births prior to one hundred years ago, that is prior to 1917, deaths prior to thirty years ago, that is prior to 1987 and marriages prior to fifty years ago, that is prior to 1967. For certificates required after these dates there is a fee of $53 for any certificate. More information can be found on the registries website. If you need to purchase certificates to obtain more information, or to verify your research, why not consider using one of the transcription services. Two such services are Joy Murrin or Turtle Consolidated Services. More information and pamphlets on these providers is available in the family history rooms.
