Christmas/New Year Closure

Dubbo & District Family History rooms are closed from Saturday 10th December 2022.  We will re-open on Tuesday 10th January 2023 at 1pm.  Wishing a safe and happy Christmas and New Year to everyone.

Share Your Story will be held in October 2022

The society is excited to advise that our first “Share Your Story” since covid struck us all, will be held in October.  Make sure you mark Friday 21st October on your calendar, so you do not miss out.  We are pleased to announce that we will host the official launch of “Remarkable Women of the Central West” This wonderful research, compiled by Karlyn Robinson is well worth a read.  Please note that this event will commence at the earlier time of 2pm in the Black Box Theatre at the WPCC.

New Dubbo Cemetery – Golden Highway, Dubbo

Dubbo Regional Council has asked us to advise that headstones in the rows listed below need to be removed.  This is to repair structural damage to the cement beam the headstones are secured to.  The headstones will be temporarily removed by a registered stonemason, and stored in a secure location while the work is being completed.  Council has asked that next of kin of these particulars plots please contact  the Community, Cultural and Places team at Council at their earliest convenience, (Ph.6801 4000)
