Are you researching your ancestors but need some guidance about what to do next? Dubbo & District Family History Society invites you to participate in a series of four workshops to be held in March dealing with Family History Basics.
The workshops will commence on Wednesday 4th March, with tips and traps when starting your family research.
Wednesday 11th March, using indexes to access birth, death and marriage records, purchasing and interpreting information on certificates, as well as preserving your certifcates and other documents.
Wednesday 18th March, using major genealogical data bases to advance your research. How to access and get the best out of these data bases.
Wednesday 24th March, Finding how, when and where your ancestors may have arrived. This is accessing immigration and shipping records and interpreting information found on the records.
All the courses will run from 10.30-12.30pm in the Music Room at the Community Arts Centre in the Cultural Precinct.
Cost will be $8 for members and $15 for non-members. There will be a limit of 20 participants at each session.
